etropolis’ European MOT approval is included on delivery. The vehicle is classified as L1E and thus exempt from technical inspections and licensing. For use on the road, only an insurance indicator license plate is required. Almost everyone is allowed to drive the etropolis. A driving license for cars or of class M (previously classes 4 or 5) for persons aged 16 or older is sufficient. The etropolis is classified as 50 cm³ scooter.
The wheel hub motor with its output of 2000 W does away with excess components such as belt or chain and the friction losses caused by them. The innovative wheel hub motor works without transmission, being connected directly to the rear wheel, so the torque can be transmitted directly to the wheel. The result: No loss of torque or power and cash saved in terms of maintenance costs.
For all etropolis Scooter, a portable and lockable top case is available. With the etropolis »retro«, an optional wind-shield protects from effects of the weather.
The etropolis uses only powerful silicon batteries (60 V) without the so-called memory effect, permitting occasional charging. They are maintenance-free, leak-proof and suitable for up to 450 charge/discharge cycles. The charger can be stored in the lockable compartment under the seat.
The etropolis relies on two disc brakes at the front and rear. Thus you can exactly dose the powerful braking. This guarantees one thing in particular: Your safety.
The analogous cockpit of the etropolis shows you all essentials at a single glance. Speed and kilometres covered are a matter of course. On top, the battery charge display is a handy tool.
